I want to use the blog to let you know about what's going on at Inky Doodles, in my head and in the wider world of stamping and papercraft so that you too can be inspired and create something amazing!
With the help of the wonderful Caroline Shinnie I hope to be able to show a card or project with instructions most days.
Firstly paint the Large Heart in pale blue, and the other two in a pale lime green and leave to dry. On the large heart, stamp the zebra and the leaves from the Wild Thing stamp set in Black Versafine and emboss with the clear embossing powder. Paint in the detail of the Zebra and the leaves in your choice of colour.
For the two smaller hearts, stamp the lion and the monkey in Vintage Sepia Versafine and the leaves in black Versafine, and again use the clear embossing powder. For the monkey, lion & leaves, paint in the detail in colours of your choice. To finish off, string them together with buttons and add bows at either end.
Die Cut Leaves, Small buttons, Die cut shape, Ruby Promarker, 6x6 Card Blank
To make the basic triangular card shape, cut a 6x6 card blank in half, diagonally. Use the excess piece to make the background paper. Stamp the background paper using the Argyle set in Bamboo leaves & Black Memento, ink the edges with Rhubarb Stalk using cut n dry foam.
For the topper, Ink up the tree in Pumice Stone, and press into the Medieval Background Stamp which has been inked up in Bamboo Leaves, this gives a patterned tree. Do the same to make the hill using Mustard Seed and Bamboo leaves. Stamp the red hearts in Rhubarb Stalk, the sentiment in Cocoa, and the Peacock in black Memento. To finish off, use the wide end of a Ruby Promarker to edge the topper stick to the card with leaves and buttons as embellishments.
Brown & Cream acrylic paint, Pink, Green & Gold Embossing powders, Metal embellishments, String, Paper Flower, Jewels, Blush & Spring Green Guilding wax
Paint the MDF Heart in brown acrylic, and when dry, stamp the flowers using Cream acrylic. When dry, overstamp with Versamark, and emboss in the different coloured powders and put jewels in the centre. Add metal embellishments, a bell and a flower. To finish, rub Guilding Wax over the metal embellishments and brown parts of the Heart.
