Heather here, Sarah's daughter.
I just want to share how touched I am, and all the family are, by the truly beautiful memories and kind messages we've recieved from the Inky Doodles community. The response has been overwhelming, we've read every single one and been brought to both happy and sad tears many times by the wonderful things you've all written. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
As for some practical updates - The funeral service has been arranged for Thursday 8th October in Stourbridge, please get in touch with me if you’re considering attending. Our contact details are the same as always.
If you'd like to send flowers, the details of the florist are below (you’d need to say they were for Sarah Busby and should quote the date of the service and “J T Brookes” as the funeral director):
BHF Creative Florist
23 Dudley Road Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 1HA, www.bhfcreativeflorist.co.uk/
Phone: 01384 482244
Mum has always adored nature and animals, if you’d prefer to make a charitable donation, my suggestion would be the RSPCA, Compassion in World Farming or the RSPB, but of course you may have your own ideas. The address for cards is:
Stratford House, Worcester Road, Upton Snodsbury, Worcestershire, WR7 4NW.
Love to everyone, Heather x
It is with unbearable sadness and regret that we have to announce that Sarah has unexpectedly passed away following a long term illness. As you will know, Sarah cared immensely about Inky Doodles and all the friends and customers who became part of the story. We are collecting messages to display at the funeral service on the Inky Doodles Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Inky-doodles-447050438667084. We know that there is a huge amount of love for Sarah from those who knew her through Inky Doodles and we’d like to reflect these relationships and make sure that everyone who wants to share has their chance. Sarah will always have a special place in all of our hearts.
Heather, Jack, Joe and Mark
Please note that whilst the online shop is open, we may not be able to fulfill orders as quickly as usual at this difficult time. Thank you for your understanding, and as ever, don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns.
Inky Doodles is a small, family run business designing and selling photopolymer stamps to creative types like you - cardmakers, scrapbookers, artists and crafters.
|I'm Sarah, the creator of Inky Doodles, a passionate crafter and a lover of all things inky, especially stamping and colouring techniques. After many, many years of using stamps, teaching and seeing most of what is out there while running my own craft shop (like a kid in a sweet shop!), I decided it was time to design my own stamp range. I drew each of the designs myself, taking inspiration from many areas but especially fabrics which I love and using a simple friendly style so they are unique and easy to use.
The collection is varied with lots of different themes, but the fresh, simple, contemporary "Doodle" style remains consistent, together with versatile and interchangeable design elements which mean almost limitless, seamless design possibilites for your creations. It seems to me that the job of a stamp designer is to provide fun and creative possibilities for papercrafters and artists - that's why the Inky Doodles tag line is..
Be Inspired and create something amazing.
||The stamp designs are only part of the story though. The stamps are made with high quality photopolymer. Why? Because I insisted on the best, not the cheapest. The transparency means that placing the image exactly where you want it is an inky doddle (sorry!). But more than this, in my experience it gives the best possible impression across all ink types. This is because photopolymer is specifically engineered for ink transfer, whereas alternatives like rubber, silicone and acrylic were just repurposed to stamping - and this shows.
|Lastly the manufacturing process means that you get a higher resolution and impression results just as the designer intended. So you can be sure you are buying the best quality stamps here.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our site, I hope you enjoy browsing our products and samples and that you enjoy using them as much as I have enjoyed creating them. We would love to hear from you if you have used our stamps or want to leave feedback by email or via the Guestbook feature.
